Netflix reveals the first look of Monica, O My Darling: The film stars Radhika Apte, Rajkummar Rao and Huma Qureshi

Netflix released the first look of its upcoming project, Monica O My Darling, which reveals its principal cast, featuring Radhika Apte, Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi and Sikander Kher.

The streaming platform, which shared a post with the pictures of the actors, came up with the caption, “O My Darlings, give us a first look! Us to the cast of Monica, O My Darling before they showed these images”. Though no other details have been revealed by the team, if one has to go by the list of tagged people, Vasan Bala is expected to direct the movie.

A day ago, Rajkummar Rao and Netflix had shared a photo of him holding a robot. Rao had captioned the post, “O My Darlings, there’s some news coming for you tomorrow.” Netflix had also shared a BTS clip from the set, which featured the cast and crew of the film. “Monica, O My Darling is now filming. Lights, cameras, action! This excitement is too much of a distraction for us to write more in this caption,” read the caption by OTT platform.

It is interesting to note that all of the project’s main cast, except Sikander Kher, had collaborated previously with Netflix. It is believed that his notable role in Disney+Hotstar series Arya, starring Sushmita Sen in the lead, landed him the offer. Meanwhile, there are several memes doing the rounds on social media about how Netflix is never tired of casting Radhika Apte. She was part of several Netflix projects like Sacred Games, Ghoul, and Lust Stories. Huma Qureshi, too, had appeared in Netflix projects like Army of the Dead and Leila, while Rajkummar Rao was highly appreciated for his Netflix anthology film Ludo.
