Maitreyi starrer series Never Have I Ever is returning with a sequel on Netflix as well

Never Have I Ever star Maitreyi Ramakrishnan is all set to debut in films with Netflix’s The Netherfield Girls. The rom-com film is said to be a contemporary adaptation of the Keira Knightley starrer Pride and Prejudice.
The OTT giant took to Twitter to announce this news. The post was captioned, “Never Have I Ever’s Maitreyi Ramakrishnan will star in The Netherfield Girls, a fresh and funny contemporary adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (think Easy A or 10 Things I Hate About You).”
Maitreyi also shared the information by retweeting a post from Variety and writing, “next project here we come.”
Written and directed by Becca Gleason, The Netherfield Girls will feature Maitreyi as Lizzie Bennet, the leading lady of Jane Austen’s classic novel who eventually discovers the man she thinks is Mr Wrong is in fact, Mr Right. However, the makers have not confirmed the release date for the film yet.
Meanwhile, Never Have I Ever is also returning with the second season of the popular show. later this year. The coming-of-age series has been created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. It also features Darren Barnet, Richa Moorjani, Poorna Jagannathan, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez and Jaren Lewison in pivotal roles.
