We all love Netflix, right? But do we truly know what fellow binge-watchers are obsessing over? Well, Netflix wants to let us in on the secret! The streaming giant has ditched their monthly lists and revealed the ultimate treasure trove – the top 10 most-watched shows from the first half of 2023 (January to June).

Netflix's press announcement

On December 12, in a press release, Netflix announced that from now on, they will update about their most-watched shows, along with the viewership numbers twice a year. A whopping eighteen thousand (18,000) titles were dissected in the platform's recent mid-year report, revealing a staggering statistic – 99% of total viewership, amounting to nearly 100 billion hours, stemmed from a limited number of titles. This data paints a compelling picture of audience preferences in the first half of 2023.

The American thriller series, The Night Agent Season 1, has topped the chart with over 812 million hours globally.
