Never Kiss Your Best Friend S2: Sarah-Jane Dias reveals why she said 'Yes' to series

After a hiatus of two years, the popular ZEE5 series, Never Kiss Your Best Friend is coming back with a renewed season. The rom-com stars Nakuul Mehta and Anya Singh in the lead roles. They will be reprising their roles as Sumer and Tanie in the upcoming season. The show will have some new cast additions as well. Joining the lead cast are the popular actors Karan Wahi and Sarah-Jane Dias.

Recently, Sarah-Jane Dias shared why she decided to be a part of the show and why one should watch the rom-com. She said in her statement that she finds the show and her character relatable. "I am very much of the mentality of working hard for your dreams to come true which is what Lavanya does and I think that I enjoy being a leader which Lavanya is and of course, the way I am styled in this series is very much close to my real life so I enjoyed dressing up as Lavanya," she said. 

She described the series as a 'good wholesome old-fashioned romcom series'. She added, "I think that is definitely something new because it has all those aspects of life like love, flirting, cuteness and pain which goes into making a good rom-com."

Earlier, Karan had also expressed his excitement to be a part of the show, calling it 'a modern-day young, progressive and relatable series'. 

The series follows the story of two best friends, Sumer and Tanie, who struggle with complicated feelings for each other. Karan Wahi will be seen playing the role of Karan Saxena, a popular actor, while Dias plays the role of Lavanya, the heir to the Meraki legacy, a big film production house in London. As these two new characters get involved in Sumer and Tanie’s life, their entries lead to further complications, drama, new emotions and new connections. 

Watch the new season of Never Kiss Your Best Friend on ZEE5. The series of new episodes will be out tomorrow on April 29, 2022.
