A new Dayaben has been finalized for Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Yes, months after Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed that despite his trying, Disha Vakani will not return to TMKOC, now there's news that a new Dayaben is finalized. Not just that, mock shoots have commenced with this new actress.

Mock shoots begin with new Dayaben?

"Yes, it is right. Asit ji had been looking for a new Dayaben, and recently, one of the auditions impressed him a lot. Mock shoots with the actress are underway. It’s been around a week that she has been here, shooting with us," a birdie told News18. So, it definitely looks like the doors on Disha Vakani's return are now closed, for better or worse.

7 years of Disha Vakani's exit later, a new Dayaben

Everybody agrees that Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, in its prime, was a masterpiece. Disha Vakani marked her exit in 2018 i.e. 7 years back. Asit Kumarr Modi had been waiting for her return. Since Disha turned a new mother, she began a new chapter of life. While hopeful of her return all these years, the maker finally felt pressurized to let go of her and get a new Dayaben on the show. He had spoken of the same by mentioning that he would have to bring a new Dayaben if Disha does not return. And from what we know, she did not return owing to the new chapter in her life.

When will the new character enter?

Just a few hours back, Times of India confirmed that not just Dayaben but there were auditions for newer characters as well. So, not only will Dayaben be re-introduced to TMKOC, but newer characters will also be added. These actors are expected to be introduced to the show in less than a month's time.
