Hari Teja is one of the many successful actors who’ve seamlessly transitioned from television with elan. Acting in several television soaps till 2015, she rose to prominence with her appearance in Trivikram’s A..Aa and never had to look back later. The actress, television show host and Kuchipudi dancer has now turned a singer for aha’s upcoming show Newsense starring Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi.
She has crooned for a number titled Myniru Pillagada, written by popular folk artiste, lyricist Penchal Das (quite an obvious choice for the song, given the Chittoor backdrop). The number was launched by Rakul Preet today. It’s a romantic song where the leads (who play mediapersons in the show) gradually fall in love with one another, take the listener through their escapades by the countryside.
“Hey..Myniru Pillagada..Varakanta Soodavemi..Nee Yenake Nadisa Needai Nenera..Akutheega Sakkadanamu..Alivaithe Allukora..Alanadu Aadina Maate Marichevu..,” the song’s opening lines are replete with a rustic flavour, expressing a girl’s feelings for her romantic interest. The jolly, laidback vibe of Suresh Bobbili's number and the expressive rendition are a delight for the listener.
The song is testimony to Hari Teja’s singing abilities and she makes it look effortless, like a seasoned musician. It’s rare for a Telugu web show to promote its songs aggressively and Myniru Pillagada grabs your attention instantly. Navdeep and Bindu Madhavi, who have earlier worked on aha’s show Mastis as well, make for a terrific on-screen pair in Newsense.
Newsense, with story and screenplay by Priyadarshini Ram, is created and directed by Sri Prawin Kumar. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory, the banner behind films like Dhamaka, Karthikeya 2 and the upcoming entertainer Rama Banam, has backed the show. Anantnag Kavuri, Vedaraman and Prasanna are the cinematographers and Srinivas Bainaboyina is the editor. The show will be out on aha shortly.
