Newsense OTT release date: When and where to watch Navdeep, Bindu Madhavi’s show online

People Media Factory, the production house that’s aggressively making a mark in Telugu cinema and the digital space, scored big hits recently with films like Dhamaka and Karthikeya 2. They’re back with another web-exclusive titled Newsense, a nailbiting political drama headlined by Navdeep and Bindu Madhavi (who also paired up for Mastis earlier), made for the Telugu OTT platform aha.

Sri Prawin Kumar, a protege of Ram Gopal Varma, who’d helmed the rural drama Kalicharan earlier, is the creator and the director of the show. Popular mediaperson Priyadarshini Ram has written the story and the screenplay that throws light on the dirty secrets behind political journalism. The show is set in Chittoor and several promos of the same were out recently.

Earlier this week, the streamer has announced that the show will be out on May 12. aha is leaving no stone unturned to promote Newsense with regular promotional activities on social media. Navdeep plays a local stringer who manipulates political developments for his personal benefits and falls in love with a television journalist, played by Bindu Madhavi.

During the launch of the teaser, Navdeep said the common man relies on the media to showcase the truth and hold the powerful accountable. Newsense would deal with a scenario where the media is compromised and focuses on the ethical dilemmas faced by journalists, he said. The show, he hoped, would move crowds for the conviction in the storytelling and its need to find answers.

Hari Teja, character artiste, has turned a singer for a number titled Myniru Pillagada in Newsense. Suresh Bobbili scores the music and Anantnag Kavuri is the cinematographer. Edited by Srinivas Bainaboyina, the crew also comprises art director Kiran Mamidi, creative and executive producer Sasikiran Narayana. TG Vishwa Prasad is the producer and Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer.
