Night Swim OTT release date – Watch the terrifying, humourless tale of a haunted pool on THIS platform

Night Swim is based on Bryce McGuire and Rod Blackhurst’s original 2014 short film of the same name. The horror feature marks the feature directorial debut of McGuire, while the film is produced by horror icons James Wan and Jason Blum. It was released in theatres on February 5, 2024.

Made on a budget of $15 million, Night Swim did fairly well at the box office, grossing over $51 million worldwide. Now Night Swim is ready for its OTT debut in India. The film will be released on BookMyShow Stream on March 1, 2024. Two trailers for the film have been released, which offer an overview of the film’s plot along with several hints as to its outcome.

Night Swim follows the tale of the Walker family as they move into a new home following patriarch Ray’s retirement from baseball due to a debilitating illness. Seeing the pool, Ray has hopes of including swimming as part of his recuperative therapy, while their adolescent kids, Izzy and Elliot, plan pool parties.

However, the pool is not as dilapidated and deserted as it seems. Within its depths, lurks a malevolent presence that takes before giving anything. The family begins spending time in the pool, from hosting a barbecue pool party during the day with lots of people to going for private swims at night with close friends and family.

Yet strange occurrences take place that, without timely intervention, might have led to deadly accidents. But when a palpable, powerful evil stalks her children, Eve can keep quiet no longer. Let's hope she is not too late in trying to save her family, as Ray is already behaving erratically and aggressively while her kids are in the clutches of the pool.

Night Swim stars the talented likes of Wyatt Russell as Ray Waller, Kerry Condon as his wife Eve Waller, Amélie Hoeferle as their daughter Izzy, Gavin Warren as their son Elliot Waller, and Elijah J. Roberts as Izzy’s friend Ronin. The film also stars Jodi Long, Nancy Lenehan, Eddie Martinez, Rahnuma Panthaky, Ben Sinclair, and Ellie Araiza in prominent roles
