Niharika Konidela, actor-producer, who was last seen in a special cameo in Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, is back to play a key part in this week’s release Dead Pixels. Directed by Aditya Mandala, the show is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar later this weekend. At the pre-release event of the same, she shared her experiences being a part of it.

“Dead Pixels is indeed special for me because it has been four years since I’ve acted in a project. Though I’ve been a part of other films, they’re yet to release. I couldn’t see myself as Gayatri in the show. I’m surprised he cast me for the part and I never even thought I could portray such emotions. I thank my director for the confidence he had in my abilities and the emotional conversations we’ve had,” Niharika said.

“My co-star Akshay (Lagusani) came for a script reading on his birthday too and I understood his seriousness with the project. I have made such a great friend and I hope we continue that association. This is my second show with Viva Harsha and surprisingly we don’t have common scenes in any of them. I hope it’ll change with season 2,” she added.

Niharika felt Roshan’s character in the show was one of the most difficult parts to cast and it’s great that someone like Sai Ronak, who has been a main lead, could play it so sportively. “I really like the way the character laughs and I’m happy he had no inhibitions playing this role. Bhavana, my on-screen bestie, is quite energetic and I could borrow some of her enthusiasm whenever I was low.”

She conveyed her gratitude to the entire team for being supportive. “I love how I looked in Dead Pixels. The vibe of the team was fantastic and we were laughing, dancing along; the energy was perfect. This is a show that people of all age groups can watch; you should ideally view it keeping your younger self in mind and that’s when you’ll enjoy it more.”

“I wasn’t quite comfortable with my costume but my team has been so sweet and made me feel at ease. I am happy to associate with Disney+ Hotstar. I hope to do more projects as an actor and a producer with them. Tamada Media created a fantastic working environment, I can validate that as a producer. It is a remake of a British show adapted perfectly according to Telugu sensibilities and it was such an amazing experience,” she stated.
