Niharika Konidela signs MAD 2 sensation Sangeeth Shoban for her next: Genre, and shoot details here

Chiranjeevi's niece and Varun Tej's sister, Niharika Konidela, has faced several challenges in her career, particularly following her separation from her husband. However, she took a brief hiatus, returned to acting, and is now actively working on quality projects. 

Sangeeth Shoban signs a film as solo lead

Taking a bold step in her career, Niharika transitioned into film production with her debut feature, Committee Kurrollu. This village drama, featuring an entirely new cast and a debut director, exceeded expectations and emerged as a massive success at the box office. The film continues to trend on ETV Win's top ten list, solidifying its popularity among audiences.

A few weeks ago, OTTplay reported that Niharika had signed director Manasa Sharma, known for her work on Sony Liv’s Bench Life, to helm her second production. The announcement was made quietly, yet it surprised many, as Niharika once again decided to support a fresh director. This decision highlights her commitment to promoting new talent in the industry.

Manasa Sharma makes her big screen debut

Now, the latest buzz is that Niharika has signed rising star Sangeeth Shoban as the lead actor for this project. The most exciting aspect of this development is that Sangeeth will be playing the solo lead for the first time in his career. Until now, he has mostly appeared in ensemble casts. Sangeeth is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, Mad 2, which has grossed nearly Rs 70 crore at the box office, an impressive feat for a film featuring relatively new actors.

On the other hand, director Manasa Sharma has previously created the Sony Liv romantic drama series Bench Life, starring Vaibhav Reddy and Ritika Singh. The series, which portrays the lives of corporate employees in Hyderabad, was a major hit. Now, she is taking on the challenge of directing her first feature film, a significant step in her career.

Both Manasa Sharma and Sangeeth Shoban have worked with Niharika before on web projects. Manasa contributed as a writer for Pink Elephant Pictures' Oka Chinna Family Story (ZEE5), while Mahesh Uppala has co-written the screenplay and dialogues for the upcoming film.
