Nani is a sport and a charmer in his public appearances; he considers himself a common man first, makes his fans feel that he’s accessible to them and even answers tricky questions with a touch of wit. It was always expected that his presence on Sony LIV’s Nijam with Smita, along with Rana Daggubati, was going to be a blast for the viewers. And the episode certainly lived upto expectations.

As part of an interesting questionaire, the show host, musician Smita prepared a list on most Googled questions surrounding Nani and Rana. One among them was if Nani would be game to work with actor Venkatesh Daggubati on a multi starrer. The response from Nani was, of course, a resounding yes. “Whenever I and Venkatesh (garu) work in a film, it’s going to be madness. I really hope it materialises. It’ll be a blast for us and great fun,” the Dasara star added.

Rana concurred with Nani on his response. The former was also asked a tricky question about his favourite co-star between Venkatesh (in Rana Naidu) and Pawan Kalyan (in Bheemla Nayak). “Honestly, it’s babai, there are no two things about it. Working with him is always special. Pawan Kalyan is a great co-star, but babai is my favourite,” Rana said.

While Nani worked with Venkatesh’s counterpart Nagarjuna in Devadas already, it’ll be interesting to see if a film with their combo get to see the light of the day. Nani’s next release is a pan-Indian action film Dasara on March 30. Rana will share screenspace with Venkatesh in the Netflix show Rana Naidu, slated to premiere on the streamer on March 10.

The promos of Dasara and Rana Naidu have been equally impressive. Nani also produced a show for SonyLIV, the anthology Meet Cute, directed by his sister Deepthi Ganta.
