Director Arun D Jose’s coming-of-age comedy entertainer Jo and Jo, which is set against the backdrop of the pandemic, is currently streaming online. The movie, which released on a leading OTT platform in a month after its successful theatrical run, has Nikhila Vimal, Mathew Thomas and Naslen in lead roles.

The film, which also has Johny Antony, Sminu Sijo, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Melvin and Sagar Surya in pivotal roles, revolves around the rivalry between two siblings Jomol and Jomon, essayed by Nikhila and Mathew, after being stuck in their homes during the pandemic lockdown. The movie also has several elements including online classes, outdoor cooking et al that was common during the first few months of pandemic, and makes for an exciting watch as it’s told through the humour.

Jo and Jo is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film dropped on the platform on June 10. In fact, it’s the second OTT release featuring Naslen. The young actor’s Pathrosinte Padappukal, which again is a quirky comedy involving a family, also released on ZEE5 on June 10. The latter also has Dinoy Paulose, Sharafudheen, James Eliya, Grace Antony and Shabareesh Varma in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, both Naslen and Mathew, who had first teamed up in the superhit Thaneer Mathan Dinangal, will be sharing screen space again in Sudhi Maddison’s Neymar. The film has them playing youngsters who had just given them plus-2 exams and are members of Brazil football fans club.

Mathew is also gearing up for his next theatrical release – Prakashan Parakkatte, which is scripted by Dhyan Sreenivasan and directed by Shahad. The film, which has him and Dileesh Pothan in the lead, has Mathew playing the titular character who aspires to leave his hometown to go the city to follow his dreams.
