Nikhonj: Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury reveal the poster of the Hoichoi series

Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Ayan Chakraborti revealed the poster of Nikhonj – a Hoichoi web series – on June 27. It is scheduled to release in August. The series also features Koneenica Banerjee, Saoli Chatterjee, Lokenath De, and others. Rupam Islam composed the music for the web series.  

Swastika plays the character of a cop – DCP Lalbazar Brinda Basu. After the poster release, the actress said that she was impressed with the script. Earlier, Tota and Swastika worked together in 90 Ghonta, which was released in 2008. The actress expressed her excitement about working with him and the team. Tota pointed out how Swastika transforms as she gets into the character. “As soon as she hears ‘action,’ she becomes a different person,” he said. The actor also praised Koneenica, who plays an important character in the series.

Director Ayan Chakrabarti clarified that Nikhonj is not a thriller. “It is a story of human relationships. A mother lost her daughter, and the story stems from there,” he said. The shooting of the series took place during the scorching heat of summer this year. The director quipped, “If anyone asks me how did it feel to shoot Nikhonj, I will say, “I felt like boiling,” 

The story delves into a missing diary. A female employee suddenly goes missing from her office. That creates a buzz. Actor Tota Roychoudhury is among the suspects.
