The film marks the directorial debut of Sonakshi Sinha’s brother Kussh Sinha.

Arjun Rampal has come on board for Kussh Sinha’s directorial debut, Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness. The actor will essay a cameo role in the Sonakshi Sinha-led film.
In a statement, obtained via Republic World, Arjun said that it was a pleasure and that he was delighted to be a part of the film. The actor expressed his excitement at collaborating with Paresh Rawal, who also essays a pivotal role in the film. Arjun said that he was also looking forward to collaborating with producers Nickky Bhagnani and Vicky Bhagnani, who he said he’s known since their childhoods.
The actor also expressed his fondness for the Sinha family and said he was delighted to see Kussh doing such good work. Calling the film something to ‘look out for’, Arjun teased that Sonakshi will be seen in a completely different avatar in the film. “I wish the whole team my best wishes for it as I had a blast working with them”, he added.
Regarding teaming up with Sonakshi for his directorial debut, Kussh had told ANI that both of them had been drawn to the subject. Calling his sister a talented actress, Kussh had said that he had always admired Sonakshi for taking up projects that she believed in. Saying that he had seen her grow as an actor, Kussh expressed his excitement at getting to be a part of the journey as well.
Kussh had announced his film in July this year, sharing an intriguing first look poster of the same. In addition to Sonakshi, Arjun and Paresh, Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness also features Suhail Nayyar in a prominent role. The film has been produced under the banners of Nikita Pai Films, NVB Films, and Kratos Entertainment. The film is expected to be released some time in 2023.
