Nim Fuler Modhu: Will Rubel Das be replaced after the accident?

A few days ago, actor Rubel Das fell victim to a major accident on the set of the TV serial Nim Ful-er Modhu. While trying to board a bus, he stumbled and faced a mishap, enduring severe discomfort but still managing to shoot two scenes. It was later discovered that he had fractured his ankle due to the incident. Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors advised him to take complete rest for the next three months. Rubel’s injury has raised questions about his future in the serial and whether he will be replaced in the serial.

The storyline of the mega serial, which spans around 12 months, is not easily alterable without its protagonist. Rubel’s illness has already caused changes to the plotline. The scriptwriters have been working to keep the narrative intact despite Rubel’s absence. In the Friday episode, viewers caught glimpses of Rubel shooting scenes from his own home bed. The question remains whether the character of Srijon will be truly replaced or not. In an interview, Rubel stated, “I haven’t been informed whether I will be replaced, but I have assured them that I will cooperate in every possible way. It’s true that I can’t leave my house right now, but we have already shot some scenes at my place, and there are similar plans for the future.”

The audience has grown attached to the Srijon-Parna duo from the start of the show. The TRP ratings also reflect their immense popularity, securing a top-five spot. After Rubel's accident, there was a surge of protests on social media regarding his potential replacement. However, the decision regarding the show heavily relies on time, which is unknown to the actor. Speaking to TV9, Rubel said, “Apart from following the doctor’s orders at this moment, there's no other way. So, whether I will continue with the series or not, I'll accept whatever decision is made. At this moment, I'm feeling a bit better than before, but I still can't move around much.”

Shweta, Rubel’s concerned girlfriend, is also worried about his health. Everyone is concerned about the incident even in the Nim Ful-er Modhu team. Parna, also known as Pallabi Sharma, shared her thoughts about the accident, saying, “We take all kinds of precautions, but accidents happen unexpectedly. There was a scene where Rubel was supposed to run and board a bus, but he couldn’t gauge the height properly, and his foot got stuck in a gap, causing the injury. We thought he might recover soon, but he couldn't even stand properly and yet managed to give two shots. Later, we had to rush him to the hospital.”

Pallabi also expressed her concerns about how the story will progress in the coming months without Rubel. The entire team is facing the challenge, but everyone hopes for Rubel's speedy recovery as their biggest prayer.
