The feelings of Ranbir Kapoor fan club are experiencing a rollercoaster ride these days. About a few months ago, reports suggested that Ranbir Kapoor will take a break from his acting career after finishing work on the sets of Animal. If all goes well, this film will be released theatrically across the country on August 11 this year.

Then, a few reports claimed that Ranbir Kapoor and popular actor of South Cinema Sai Pallavi will be seen together in a film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and the film will go on floors soon. And now, fresh reports suggest that this film has been postponed indefinitely.

As per a report published in ETimes, “Tiwari will focus all his energies on another project, that will be announced after the release of his Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer, Bawaal. Earlier it was touted that producers were in talks with Deepika Padukone to play Sita. But she apparently will be featuring in the lead role in the film, Draupadi for the same production house, and hence South star Sai Pallavi was roped in to play the role.”

“Not only that, but it was also reported that Hrithik Roshan was approached to play Ravana, but since the project was not moving forward, Hrithik decided to move on,“ read an excerpt from ETimes.

So, will Animal be Ranbir Kapoor’s last film before he goes for an indefinite paternity break? Only time will tell. Also, those who had dreams of watching Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor together on screen have been shattered.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will be seen next in the film Fighter that is slated to be released in January 2024. This film is being directed by Siddharth Anand nowadays.
