Nithya Menen: Skylab is an exciting script and has received a paradoxical treatment

Nithya Menen is all set to play the lead character, as well as to co-produce the Telugu upcoming Skylab. Set on the backdrop of a village, the movie has an interesting plot revolving around the collapse of a space satellite called Skylab, which starts falling towards Earth.

In a recent interview with The Indian Express, the actress opened up about her being on the board as producer, and more. She believes that the script of the movie is its strength, which received a paradoxical treatment. Though set in Telangana village, it is treated uniquely with the western classical music in the background. She also said that it is difficult to make a good film these days considering its potential. The actor wanted to make it happen through her production venture.

When asked more about the paradox, Nithya explained it to be reflected in more elements of the film. If set in a village backdrop, what we normally expect will be a raw portrayal. But in the case of Skylab, it has a very polished and saturated look according to the actress, whether it be in terms of cinematography, music production design or colour palettes.

Helmed by Vishak Khanderao, the movie also stars Satya Dev, Rahul Ramakrishna, Tanikella Bharani, Vishnu Oi, Anusha and Tulasi. It is backed by Prithvi Pinnamaraju along with Nithya under the banners of Byte Features and Nithya Menen Company.

Meanwhile, Nithya has also roped for a Telugu series for Amazon Prime titled Kumari Srimathi. She also has Dhanush starrer Thiruchitrambalam in her kitty. She also worked in the most-anticipated Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum titled Bheemla Nayak alongside Pawan Kalyan recently.
