The upcoming Malayalam film, Baby Girl, starring Nivin Pauly, has completed its first schedule, set in Thiruvananthapuram. The Arun Varma directorial, touted to be a thriller, has now moved on to its next schedule in Vaikom. Nivin Pauly, who came in as a last-minute addition to the film after Kunchacko Boban opted out, will also star in 1001 Nunakakl director Thamar KV's Dolby Dineshan next, which is also starting shoot in May 2025. Here are all the updates about two of Nivin Pauly's upcoming films.
Nivin Pauly is headlining Baby Girl, which is directed by Arun Varma and is penned by Bobby-Sanjay. The upcoming Malayalam film started production in Thiruvananthapuram in April 2025. After completing the Thiruvananthapuram schedule, the team has started the second schedule in Vaikom on May 8. Lijomol Jose, Sangeeth Prathap of Premalu fame, Marco actor Abhimanyu Thilakan, and Aziz Nedumangad, among others, are part of the cast.
Listin Stephen is producing the film under the banner of Magic Frames. Listin had sparked a controversy after he alleged a leading actor had made a major mistake. This led to speculations that he meant Nivin.
Nivin Pauly is also starring in the lead role of Dolby Dineshan, which is written and helmed by Thamar KV. A poster released earlier showed Nivin in the attire of a local autorickshaw driver. The film is set to start shooting on May 20, 2025, as per online reports
Nivin, who was last seen in Malayalee From India, also stars in Dear Students, which features his Love Action Drama co-star Nayanthara. The Varshangalkku Shesham actor has also started shooting for Akhil Sathyan's next film in Kochi.
Recently, Nivin said that he is in discussions for a movie project with Manju Warrier. The duo were earlier set to collaborate on Padavettu with Manju reportedly featuring in an extended cameo. However, the makers later changed the script, and as her character did not have much prominence in the film, they decided against having the Lucifer star on board.
