While several people on social media had poked fun at Malayalam star Nivin Pauly’s physique in the recent years and even alleged that he is losing his charm with his recent releases not working at the box office, the actor was unfazed. In fact, his standard reply to those who has asked him if the comments worried him was that “our body is the only thing we own, so let it go the way it likes”. However, the actor has always maintained that he was ready to put in the hard yards when it mattered.

True to his word, it seems that the actor has now shed a lot of weight for his upcoming movies of 2023. The actor was spotted along with his family, at an airport in Kerala, on their way back from a vacation in Dubai. And the photos have already gone viral, with fans comparing the recent pics with those that had the actor on the heavier side during the shoot of Padavettu as well as Saturday Night promotions.

A lot of Nivin fans took to their social media pages to express their excitement of seeing their favourite superstar back to how he was in his superhits such as Premam, Jacobinte Swargarajyam and Oru Vadakkan Selfie.

Nivin had earlier told us that he had packed on the pounds during Padavettu as its director Liju Krishna had instructed him to do so for the role. Padavettu's shoot lasted almost three years. After his previous release Saturday Nights, Nivin had said that he will be working out and losing the weight for his upcoming movies such as Thaaram and Action Hero Biju, which require in different physiques.

Fans have already began dubbing the transformation, a most awaited comeback. Some even compared Nivin and Mohanlal, saying that both superstars require a big hit this year and their efforts to deliver that could very well pay off.

Nivin, meanwhile, has been rumoured to have signed Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's upcoming directorial. The actor also has Haneef Adeni's movie as well as Thaaram in Malayalam.

Nivin's Thuramukham, which had wrapped up its shoot in 2019 and was set for an April 2020 release, is yet to hit theatres. The movie has been facing several financial issues. The distribution of the Rajeev Ravi directorial was last picked by producer Listin Stephen, who said that the movie will hit theatres soon.

Despite his latest movies not working, Nivin, in a recent interview with OTTplay, said, "“The validation we get from the audience is always a huge boost for us actors. Every artiste wishes that the audience applaud their performance in theatres and express their love when you meet them. During these promotions, we could feed off of their energy and love. Their validation amps up our confidence.”
