Nivin Pauly kicks off shoot for Akhil Sathyan movie, back-to-back projects for Premam star

Nivin Pauly, who was last seen in Malayalee from India last year, looks to be set for an exciting 2025. The Premam actor is currently working on not one but two projects. After joining Arun Varma's Baby Girl in April, Nivin Pauly has started filming for Akhil Sathyan's next project. Nivin Pauly fans are excited to see their favourite star, who hasn’t had a major solo hit in recent years, collaborating on two exciting projects simultaneously.

Nivin Pauly joins Akhil Sathyan movie

Akhil Sathyan, who marked his directorial debut with Fahadh Faasil's Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, announced his next project with Nivin Pauly last year. The shooting for his upcoming movie started in Kochi on Tuesday, online trackers have reported. Photos of Nivin and Akhil from the sets have also surfaced online.

Not much details are known about the yet-to-be-titled film, which is touted to have elements of fantasy in it.

Aju Varghese, who has collaborated with Nivin in several films, including Thattathin Marayathu, is also reported to be a part of the project. The film will have music by Justin Prabhakaran. The shooting locations are reported to be Kochi and Palakkad.

Nivin Pauly joins Baby Girl too

Nivin Pauly had also joined the cast of Baby Girl, which began shooting earlier this month in Thiruvananthapuram. Nivin Pauly was a last-minute addition to the cast after Kunchacko Boban had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts. Kunchacko is also a part of Mahesh Narayanan's film, which stars Mammootty along with Mohanlal.

Baby Girl, directed by Arun Varma, is touted to be a thriller. Penned by the formidable Bobby and Sanjay, the plot of Baby Girl happens over one day. Bobby and Sanjay had earlier penned thrillers such as Innale Vare and Mumbai Police. Their association with the project has increased the fans' expectations from the movie.

Nivin Pauly, on the other hand, would be looking to score a solo hit at the box office. Before Malayalee from India, he was seen in Varshangalkku Shesham, starring Pranav Mohanlal and Dhyan Sreenivasan in the lead roles. Though Nivin was seen in a short role, it was much talked about.
