Nivin Pauly to team with Jana Gana Mana director Dijo Jose Antony, film to be shot in Dubai

Malayalam star Nivin Pauly will have back-to-back movie shoots in the UAE. The Premam star, who is currently filming The Great Father director Haneef Adeni’s film, will next week join the sets of Jana Gana Mana director Dijo Jose Antony’s next.

The shoot of the upcoming movie, which will be produced by Listin Stephen, is expected to begin next week in Dubai. The actor has allotted 10 days for the film, post which the team will resume the shoot in Kerala. Dijo’s previous movie Jana Gana Mana, which had Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mamta Mohandas and Suraj Venjaramoodu, was also co-produced by Listin.

Meanwhile, Nivin’s current movie with Haneef is touted to be an entertainer and marks his second collaboration with the director after Mikhael, which also had Unni Mukundan as the antagonist. The yet-to-be-titled movie also has Ganapathy, Jaffer Idukki, Saniya Iyappan, Vinay Forrt and Balu Varghese as part of the cast. The movie is produced by both Nivin and Listin.

The actor has shed close to 15 kilos for his recent roles and is getting back to his old self as his characters in his upcoming movies require him to be in peak physique.

Nivin’s films last year – Mahaveeryar, Padavettu and Saturday Night – didn’t taste success at the box office, even though his characters in the former two had received praise. The actor will be hoping to shake off the slump and get back to his winning ways with his upcoming ventures.

The Love Action Drama actor also has his second Tamil film titled Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai set for release soon. The movie also has Soori and Anjali as part of the cast. There were also reports that the actor has been in talks for a superstar-driven film in Tamil but nothing has been confirmed yet. In Malayalam, Nivin also has Bismi Special, Thaaram, Action Hero Biju 2 and Shekhara Varma Rajavu coming up.
