Well, according to a source close to the unit, Prashanth Neel has decided not to take any upfront salary for the film. Instead, he will receive a share in the profits. The source reveals that Prashanth Neel will be taking 50% of the film’s profits, while the remaining 50% will be shared between NTR Arts and Mythri Movie Makers.
Currently, he is one of the busiest directors in Indian cinema, and this marks the first time he has opted out of a fixed salary, choosing instead to bank on profit-sharing. Thanks to RRR and Rajamouli, Jr. NTR’s market has grown by leaps and bounds. As a result, the film’s budget has shot up to nearly ₹300 crore.
Meanwhile, it is also being reported that NTR is charging a three-digit crore figure, the highest of his career so far. With back-to-back blockbusters to his name, expectations are sky-high on how Prashanth Neel will present NTR in the lead role. Rukmini Vasanth, the latest sensation from Kannada cinema, plays the female lead in this film. Several well-known faces from Telugu cinema will also be seen in important roles.
