Chiranjeevi's upcoming political action thriller, Godfather, also starring Salman Khan and Nayanthara, is all set to hit screens tomorrow as a Vijayadasami special. The film, which is a remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer that had Mohanlal in the titular character, is directed by Mohan Raja. The star cast includes Puri Jagannadh, Satyadev Kancharana, Murali Sharma, Sunil, Brahmaji, Samuthirakani, Tanya Ravichandran, Gangavva and Prabhu Deva in a special dance number. Music for the film is by Thaman S, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Marthand K Venkatesh. The film has been bankrolled by Ram Charan, RB Choudary and NV Prasad.
In the meantime, fans in Tamil Nadu seem to be upset that the film is not releasing in the state tomorrow. A number of users took to their social media handle to express their concern that there are no shows for the film in the state and also rued that the makers haven't planned the release in other states in an efficient manner.
A user Revanth Raja wrote, "#MegastarChiranjeevi's #GodFather doesn't have single show in Chennai till now π€·ββοΈ. Is it distributors fault? Another user Raamam Raghavan wrote on his social media handle, "Worst release planning by @KonidelaPro @SuperGoodFilms_ Till now single show also not added in Chennai and Pondicherry #GodFather #GodFatherOnOctober5th (sic)."
A user called JustLikeVikki, too wrote, "Mana #GodFather bookings not yet opened in #Chennai #TamilNadu Worse planning @KonidelaPro @SuperGoodFilms_ Zero shows opened in @bookmyshow @Paytm (sic)."

The Malayalam original Lucifer is a political action thriller directed by Prithiviraj Sukumaran and penned by Murali Gopy.
