Abishek Ambareesh’s birthday was celebrated amid great fanfare on October 3 with the team of Bad Manners unveiling a new teaser on the same day. The celebrations saw the budding superstar address the media along with his mother and fellow actor Sumalatha Ambareesh at their residence in Bengaluru.

And during this interaction, both Abishek and Sumalatha Ambareesh spoke their hearts out about the former’s acting career and the cultural impact that the late actor Ambareesh has left behind.

“The concept of sequel films is currently quite popular and we see filmmakers making part 2 of all their successful ventures. What I wish for is for Abhi (Abishek) to tread on the same path as his father and reach millions of people through his work, earn the same respect and love and become ‘Ambareesh Part 2’, in a way. On his birthday, I would wish that he reaches the same stature as his father and do so not just as an actor but also as a respectable human,” said Sumalatha Ambareesh during the media event.

In response, Abishek Ambareesh quipped that his mother wishes for him to be only the ‘Part 2’ version of his father because, in all honesty, he says, it would be almost impossible to replicate what the late actor achieved. “No way, chancey illa,” said Abishek before evoking laughter in the crowd near him.

Many would remember Rebel Star Ambareesh’s off-the-cuff phrase “No way, Chancey Illa,” becoming a cult classic line on the internet with several netizens also using it as a meme.

As far as Abishek Ambareesh’s upcoming projects are concerned, the actor is awaiting the release of his second film Bad Manners which happens to be a Duniya Suri directorial. Considering the gritty and quirky world of Suri’s films, Bad Manners will be a stark shift in sensibilities for Abishek who is currently on the lookout for exciting ventures as an actor. He will also be seen in S. Krishna’s Kaali and S. Mahesh Kumar’s untitled period action film.
