Fans of Rocking Star Yash have been waiting with bated breath for word on his next, dubbed #Yash19. There are several rumours swirling around the project, and confirmation of any of them is the least they are hoping for. Yash has been tight-lipped in the months since the release of KGF: Chapter 2, saying only that he is indeed working on something and that announcements will be made when the time is right.
For the longest time, the buzz was that Yash was committed to do a film with director Narthan of Mufti fame. The question, then, was about who would produce the same. KVN Productions has apparently bagged the production duties, although none of the parties involved have confirmed the same. Then came another bit of news that Tamil director Shankar was interested to collaborate with the Rocking Star. Of course, amid all of this, there’s also the fact that Yash will also have to do KGF: Chapter 3 at some point.
In fact, immediately after the release of KGF: Chapter 2, when it became apparent that they were planning another instalment in the KGF saga, Hombale Films co-founder Vijay Kiragandur had excitedly announced that they would go on floors with the film as early as in October-November 2022. This was quickly refuted by the team, as director Prashant Neel has to finish his film with Prabhas for Hombale Films, Salaar and another with NTR Jr. He will be free to do a Kannada film only thereafter.
Two days all hopes of an update/announcement were dashed when Yash asked fans to be patient. There would be no birthday announcement, after all. So, if you are looking at drowning that disappointment, here’s what you can do if you are in Bengaluru. Tomorrow, not one, but two of Yash’s films are re-releasing in the city. For starters, there is the Santhosh Ananddram directed Mr and Mrs Ramachari, which was his first major hit, and then, there’s KGF2. At the moment, though, only a Hindi version is showing up on booking sites.
