No Yash19 update – Rocking Star Yash continues giving his fans a lesson in patience

The wait for an update on Rocking Star Yash’s next, tentatively dubbed Yash19, will continue for the foreseeable future and with that there will also be more speculation in the days to come. In his first public appearance in well over three months, Yash added to the agony of his die-hard fans, urging them to not pay heed to any of the “Yash19 update speculation” on social media and wait for word from him, and only him, without giving them any indication as to how soon, or late, that could be. The promise, though, continues to be what he’s been saying for a while – When he is ready with Yash 19, he will present a film that everyone will be proud of. For now, patience is key, he said, speaking at the BGS Utsav in Bengaluru.

For fans of the actor, it’s been a painful year-and-a-half and there’s no respite in sight. Yash was last seen onscreen in April 2022, when KGF: Chapter 2 hit theatres. He’s not faced a camera for almost three years, having wound up KGF-2 in early 2021. And in all this time, he’s been insisting that work has been going on in figuring out his next. Initially, there were multiple rumours about the filmmaker he’d choose to work with, but for a while now, everyone’s trained their attention on Malayalam director Geethu Mohandas, after she said that was set to make a gangster flick from a woman’s perspective and began following Yash and several others in his close circle on social media.

Yash’s meetings with Hollywood stunt coordinator JJ Perry have also fuelled rumours that his next will be quite the action-packed extravaganza. Fans and industry insiders have been wondering if the superstar is in a fix of sorts, having tasted such phenomenal success and now struggling to figure out what to do next to live up to that or up it a notch. Amid the long wait for Yash 19, prospects of a possible KGF: Chapter 3 are also waning with every passing day. Announced shortly after KGF: Chapter 2’s box office rampage, the third instalment has had multiple start date announcements, but Yash has been steadfast that he wants to do something different before returning to the franchise. What’s interesting, though, is that he has continued to maintain his bearded and long-haired KGF look in all this time. In his career, Yash has always tried to experiment with his look, whether it is with his hair or the shape and size of his beard. He will, no doubt, want to sport a drastically different look in his next and it appears that when he chooses to announce the Yash19 update, he will do so with a lot of shock/surprise value.
