Not Ajaneesh or Charanraj, Tharun falls back on Darshan’s trusted companion V Harikrishna for Kaatera

Ever since Tharun Kishore Sudhir began working on his latest project with Challenging Star Darshan, fans have been hopeful that the filmmaker would mix things up with the casting and the technical crew too. In fact, music was one department that they thought that Tharun ought to bring in a fresh perspective, instead of falling back on Darshan camp staple, V Harikrishna.

The veteran music man has worked on several of the superstar’s films and Darshan holds him in great esteem. Tharun had used Harikrishna as one of several music directors on Chowkaa and only for the background score of Roberrt. For #D56, which, as of today was confirmed as Kaatera, fans wanted the filmmaker to pick either B Ajaneesh Loknath or MR Charanraj, but the title reveal motion poster clearly mentions that Harikrishna is the composer of the film. While some netizens felt that Harikrishna knows the pulse of Darshan fans and will deliver accordingly, others were not happy with the choice of composer.

“Yaradru hosubru na hakobodu ankondide mathe hari ge kottidare itz okk bgm chenagi kotre saku,” wrote a netizen called Sharan. Another, Agasthya, added, “Ella ok but Harikrishna music director yake disappointed as usual same old type BGM. Harikrishna BGM's are out dated Ella BGMge extra ondh voice over add madthare. Need to give music like Tamil cinemas. Music is where we are lagging behind compared to Telugu and Tamil industry.” Another wrote, “Matte ee jatre nan maga harikrishna na hakondidiyala guruve. Navu Ravi basrur or ajaneesh antha ankondodvi.” One user had a request for Tharun, “Harikrishna bgm first Ind film end vargu onde Tara kodtare... Adanna keloke irritate agatte movie end ago vargu... Pls remove him.” Vikas Pranad added, “@TharunSudhir guru e harikrishna na tamte music bittu bere enu baralva antha, disappointed with music director, est dina bittid chik bit sounds hay channagittu, niv eno new changes madtira ankonde nivu same routine.”
