Not just Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor also in talks with Dinesh Vijan for a project outside of Stree franchise

Just a while back, we heard that Badlapur actor Varun Dhawan was looking at collaborating with Dinesh Vijan (Go Goa Gone) outside of the Maddock Supernatural Universe (Bhediya world). Now, we hear that Baaghi actress Shraddha Kapoor is also going down the same path and looks at working with the filmmaker. She is looking at collaborating with Dinesh and his Chhaava director Laxman Utekar. Here's everything we know so far...

A report in Pinkvilla suggests that Shraddha Kapoor wishes to work with Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijan. The duo had collaborated for the biggest hit of 2025, Chhaava. A source not only confirmed the meeting but also claimed that Shraddha has loved a script and has agreed to work on the movie. Thus, we are likely to see the actress work with the Chhaava duo soon.

What is the project all about?

Shraddha Kapoor is likely to work on a film based on a popular Marathi novel. While all other details are currently under the wraps, there is certain confirmation that an A-list actor would work on the project alongside Shraddha. The source further added that Dinesh Vijan is looking at breaking out of his image and this might be the very project that helps him achieve that.

Shraddha Kapoor has been the face of the superhit film franchise Stree (and Stree 2). The 2016 starrer gave birth to what we know today as the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Stree has been loved by all, but the actress as well as the filmmaker are looking at collaborating even outside of Stree. Interestingly, when Rajkummar Rao was asked about collaborating with Shraddha outside of Maddock Supernatural Universe's Stree, he too said that given the right script, he would love to do that. Who knows, maybe this film might be just that!
