Akshay Kumar met Amitabh Bachchan during the 'angry young man' phase.
Akshay Kumar reveals his best memory of a photograph and that is with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Akshay does not have a selfie moment but the photograph is special for him. The actor shared details around the photo and what makes it special.
Akshay unveiled Selfiee trailer along with Emraan Hashmi at an event in Mumbai some time back. That is when the actor spoke about his most memorable photograph.
Akshay was actually asked which is his most memorable selfie but the actor could not remember even one. It is to be noted that Akshay has been a part of many selfies in the recent times, including one with PM Narendra Modi.
However, Akshay recalled his meeting with Amitabh Bachchan and what made the photograph so special. The actor recalled that Amitabh Bachchan was shooting for Bemisal in Kashmir. It was when he had clicked a photo with him. Bemisal released in 1982 and thus, Akshay met Big B when the 80s just began. This was when Amitabh Bachchan was already called the ‘angry young man (post Zanjeer era, in 1973).’
Remembering what was so special about the photo, Akshay said, “Woh angoor kha rahe the. Maine woh bhi chura liye. (He was eating grapes. I stole those grapes from him too).”
Akshay is known to be the biggest prankster on sets. The actor made his debut in films in the 90s. His first appearance was in Saugandh, released in 1991. The movie co-starred Raakhee and Shantipriya. He gained fame with his second movie, Khiladi. The franchise established him as an action star.
Selfiee is a comedy film, which is inspired from Prithviraj’s Driving License. After action, Akshay is best known for his comic timing in movies. Thus, Selfiee promises something exciting for the viewers. Helmed by Raj Mehta, the movie will release in theatres on February 24, 2023.
