Novelist, motivational speaker, screenwriter Yandamoori Veerendranath is testing waters as a filmmaker in Telugu cinema again after a long sabbatical. Having directed films like Stuartpuram Police Station, Agni Pravesham and Duppatlo Minnagu in the past, the multifaceted personality is now helming two projects, Nallanchu Tellacheera and Athadu Aame Priyudu. While he has finished filming Nallanchu Tellacheera recently, Athadu Aame Priyudu went on floors on July 25, Sunday.
Athadu Aame Priyudu has an interesting lineup of actors including comedian Sunil, former Bigg Boss Telugu winner Koushal, veteran character actor Banerjee, Maheshwari Vaddi, Priyanka and Supoorna. Ravi Kanagala and Tummalapalli Rama Sathyanarayana are jointly producing the film under the banner Sandhya Motion Pictures. The muhurat shot of the film was canned at the premises of the production house on Sunday.
Veteran director Kodandarami Reddy, actor-producer Naga Babu, Mathrudevobhava director Ajay Kumar and Ambika Raja graced the event. Naga Babu recollected that his film journey took off with Rakshasudu, a film whose story Veerendranath had written. Popular television personality Meer will serve as the cinematographer and editor for Athadu Aame Priyudu. The makers are yet to take a call on the film's release plans. Meanwhile, Veerendranath's earlier film Nallanchu Tellacheera may premiere directly on UrvasiOTT soon.
