Mischief, magic, and masterful heists are making a triumphant return to the silver screen. Lionsgate has unveiled an official trailer for the third instalment in the critically acclaimed magician-heist series, titled Now You See Me: Now You Don't, which debuted in 2013. In this new trailer, we see the return of the original illusionist team, the Four Horsemen, for another thrilling adventure full of surprises, including some familiar faces and even more magic tricks on screen.

Iconic Four Horsemen reunite

Along with Woody Harrelson as mentalist Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco as sleight-of-hand specialist Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher as escape artist Henley Reeves—who is much anticipated for her return to the franchise after sitting out the 2016 sequel—Jesse Eisenberg is back as the sharp-witted J. Daniel "Danny" Atlas. Morgan Freeman plays the mysterious Thaddeus Bradley, and Mark Ruffalo reprises his role as Dylan Rhodes, a former FBI agent turned magician.

In the trailer, we witness a world where the Horsemen appear to be retired, but a new, unknown threat forces them to return, demanding their signature mix of spectacle and deceit. The group takes on new dynamics with the addition of Ariana Greenblatt, Dominic Sessa, Rosamund Pike, and Justice Smith, who are all newcomers to the cast. The plot is still a mystery, but the chic trailer teases even more complex trickery, exciting adventures around the world, and enough deceit to keep viewers wondering.

Ruben Fleischer continues to lead the franchise

Ruben Fleischer, who is already attached to direct a fourth instalment in the works, is directing this one as well. The intriguing future of the franchise was unveiled by Lionsgate at this year's CinemaCon, along with a sneak glimpse of the upcoming feature.

Adam Fogelson, Chair of Lionsgate's Motion Picture Group, during the convention said in a statement that they were so happy with the director's cut; they are already developing the next chapter. They are absolutely overjoyed that he will be creating even more magic with them and can't wait for audiences to see what he has accomplished with the third film.

Legacy of the franchise

Now You See Me was an instant hit upon its 2013 premiere due to its innovative combination of theatrical illusion with robbery drama. Lula, played by Lizzy Caplan, was one of many new characters added in the 2016 sequel, which further deepened the mythos. As the Horsemen prepare for their next task, the return of Fisher to the brand heightens the already intriguing situation.

The bright and deceitful world of Now You See Me: Now You Don't will return to theatres on November 14, immersing spectators once more in a world where everything is not what it seems and the deception never ends until the big revelation.
