Bhavana is all set to make her comeback to Malayalam cinema, after a gap of almost five years. The actress’s highly awaited return comes through a leading role in debutant Adhil Maimoonath Asharaf’s upcoming film Ntikkakkokkoru Premondarnn, which will see her share the screen with Sharafudheen. Although Adhil had earlier referred to the film as a ‘simple love story’, the recently released trailer suggests anything but.

The film’s trailer was launched at an event in Calicut on Friday. The trailer introduces viewers to Sharafudheen’s character, a Gulf returnee named Jimmy who adores his younger sister, with whom he shares a huge age gap with. Jimmy has a delightful bond with his spunky little sister, and his life gets even better when he meets and falls in love with a young woman named Fidha. However, when his school time sweetheart, Nitya, pops up in his life, things get complicated.

The upcoming film features Bhavana as Nitya and Sharafudheen essaying the role of Jimmy. Saniya Rafi, Asokan, Shebin Benson and Anarkali Nasar also essay pivotal roles in the film.

The upcoming film is written and directed by Adhil, with dialogues and additional screenplay written by Vivek Bharathan. Renish Abdulkhader and Rajesh Krishna have bankrolled the film under the banners of Bonhomie Entertainments and London Talkies respectively. Arun Rushdie has cranked the camera for Ntikkakkokkoru Premondarnn.

Bhavana’s last Malayalam film was the 2017 Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Adam Joan. The actress is also currently working on another Malayalam film titled Hunt, which is helmed by Shaji Kailas, and also stars Anu Mohan, Rahul Madhav, G Chandunath, Ajmal Ameer, Renji Panicker, Aditi Ravi and Nandu. The actress also has a Kannada film, titled Pink Note, in the pipeline. Helmed by Rudresh GN, the film will see the actress essay a dual role.
