Best NTR films on ETV Win

Pathala Bhairavi - 1951

Pathala Bhairavi is one of the most popular classics in Telugu cinema. The film, starring NTR and SV Ranga Rao in lead roles, is based on Kasi Majilee Kathalu and was written by Madhira Subbanna Deekshitulu. The film was also loosely inspired by Aladdin. KV Reddy directed this film, which has music by Ghantasala.

Missamma - 1955

Missamma was directed by the famous L. V. Prasad. The film stars NT Rama Rao, Savitri, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna. Chakrapani adapted the script from Rabindranath Maitra's Bengali play Manmoyee Girls' School. The story revolves around two unemployed people, MT Rao and Mary, who pose as a married couple to obtain employment in a high school.

Jagadeka Veeruni Katha - 1961

Starring NTR and Saroja Devi, the film, directed by KV Reddy, is about NTR's desire to marry four Devakanyas. He is cursed for his act and also loses his position in his father's kingdom. The film is known for its great set work and grand visuals. Even now, the film is binge-watched for its VFX and NTR's performance.

Gundamma Katha 1962

Gundamma Katha is directed by Kamalakara Kameswara Rao and co-produced by Nagi Reddi and Chakrapani under their banner Vijaya Productions. It stars NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Savitri, and Jamuna, with SV Ranga Rao, Suryakantham, and Ramana Reddy in supporting roles. Partially inspired by William Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew, Gundamma Katha is an official remake of the Kannada film Mane Thumbida Hennu.

Yamagola - 1977

Yamagola is yet another NTR-starrer fantasy drama. NTR's character passes away and reaches the heavenly abode of Yamalokam, igniting a revolution of sorts. T Rama Rao directed this film, which had Jaya Prada as the female lead. SS Rajamouli made a film named Yamadonga, which was loosely inspired by Yamagola. But he gave the film a different spin altogether.
