The Super 12 stage of the ICC T20 World Cup will see New Zealand face Afghanistan in a Group A encounter.

The Kiwis had got off to a flying start as they crushed reigning champions Australia in their own backyard. Openers Finn Allen and Devon Conway had wreaked havoc with the bat. Conway’s unbeaten knock of 92 helped New Zealand post a total of 200 runs.

Their bowling was also up to the mark with Tim Southee and Mitchell Santner picking up wickets at regular intervals. The BlackCaps bowled out Australia for just 111 runs and secured a massive win in their tournament opener.

Talking about Afghanistan, they did put up a good fight against England in their opener with the bowlers almost getting them over the line. However, with that loss, Mohammed Nabi and his men will be eyeing a win on Wednesday.
