Odela 2 is Tamannaah Bhatia's new film that hit the screens on April 17, 2025. The makers promoted the film aggressively, but the fantasy drama did not perform well at the box office. Odela 2 is the sequel to the hit OTT film Odela Railway Station, which is available on Aha. Taking things a notch higher, Sampath Nandi, who penned the story of the first part, directed the sequel.
Though the box office verdict was underwhelming, Odela 2 has started with a bang on Amazon Prime Video. Ever since the film began streaming, it has been trending in the top three on Prime Video's India list. A source close to the team revealed that Odela 2 has already clocked 100 million streaming minutes on Prime Video and is receiving a solid response.

The Odela franchise is quite popular, and the sequel includes elements that resonate with the OTT audience. That’s why Odela 2 is performing well on streaming platforms. Tamannaah Bhatia, known for Happy Days and Ayan, is seen in the role of an Aghora in a de-glam avatar. This surprised some of her fans, who are used to seeing her in glamorous roles. However, it seems the OTT audience is appreciating her transformation.
Odela 2 was made on a massive budget and features music by Ajaneesh Loknath. Although he was criticized for delivering a subdued score, the makers are happy with the overall response. Director Sampath Nandi stated that the film has finally found the audience it deserved.

Vasishta Simha plays the lead in the film, with Mahanubhavudu fame Murali Sharma in a key role. The film boasts impressive VFX, though the lead-in to the third installment has faced some criticism. The makers have announced Odela 3 and promise that the next part will be bigger and better. For now, Odela 2 has made a solid debut on OTT and continues to trend on Prime Video.
