Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira vs Lokah vs Hridayapoorvam box office collection: Fahadh Faasil entered the Onam box office race with his Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, which also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan. However, the film failed to live up to the expectations and drew mixed reviews, and could not even cross the Rs 1 crore mark on day 1. The other big Onam releases Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah and Mohanlal-starrer Hridayapoorvam continue their good run at the cinemas.

The Malayalam film Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira released in theatres on August 29, 2025, but could only make only Rs 0.75 crore, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This is disappointing for the Fahadh Faasil film which is getting mixed reviews with many saying that comedy doesn’t work in most parts. Althaf Salim has directed the quirky film, which also stars Lal, the only actor who seems to have impressed the audiences. Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will be available on Netflix after its theatrical run.

On the other hand, Lokah, the other Kalyani Priyadarshan film to hit theatres this Onam had a dream run on day 2, going past Mohan lal’s Hridyapaoorvam which was the winner on opening day. Both movies performed well on Friday but Lokah clearly stands ahead with a total collection of Rs 6.46 crore, compared to Hridayapoorvam at Rs 5.95 crore.

The fourth Malayalam movie to release for Onam is Maine Pyar Kiya, starring young actors Hridhu Haroon and Preity Mukhundhan. Though the film did win positive feedback, it hardly made a dent at the box office with just making Rs 0.12 crore in collections.
