Official announcement of Kiccha Sudeep’s next on THIS date?

The buzz in industry circles is that Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep will be in the news a lot over the next few days. For starters, the first press conference for Bigg Boss Kannada Season 12 is happening on June 30, 2025, with the expectation that Sudeep will return to host the show despite a very public goodbye at the end of Season 11. And then, later in the week, by July 5, the focus will turn to his next film. Sudeep is currently on a schedule break from his big-budget ambitious project Billa Ranga Baashaa with Anup Bhandari.

According to reports, Sudeep will officially announce a film with the popular production house Satya Jyoti Films, which is likely to be yet another collaboration with Max director Vijay Kartikeyaa. The filmmaker had confirmed a few months ago that he will reunite with Sudeep for another film, following the success of Max, but at the time, he was not clear whether it would be a sequel to the film, given that the character description of Arjun Mahakshay is that there can be multiple plots in keeping with the various incidents that have seen him get suspended.

Some netizens, however, point out that Sudeep’s current look with a full beard and longer hair will not work for another film in the Max series. While his hair was explained in Max since he was returning to active duty only the next day and was yet to get a trim, that is not something the filmmaker can repeat again.

The new announcement is in keeping with Sudeep’s resolution to do more than one film at a time and have movies out in theatres in quicker succession. During the promotions of Max, he had said he was looking at having at least 2 films ready in 18 months’ time. While it took a while to get Billa Ranga Baashaa on the road, now that he is on schedule break, the actor intends to make good use of the this free time and get started on another project.
