Director Sujeeth's recent Telugu film OG is currently running in theatres, and has taken a fantastic opening, with over Rs 100 crore. The film stars actor and politician Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, and one of the common observations that fans kept on OG is that it is similar to Tamil film Good Bad Ugly. While both the films are action dramas, netizens began to draw similarities between both the films which were of fan service to the stars. Good Bad Ugly, directed by Adhik Ravichandran, features Ajith Kumar in the lead role.

Sujeeth opines on OG being compared to Good Bad Ugly 

Sujeeth and team are currently basking the success of their Telugu film OG. Pawan Kalyan plays the lead role in the gangster action drama. Upon its release, OG began to get compared to 2025 Tamil film Good Bad Ugly. Both of them are gangster action dramas which are led by stars.

In a recent post-release to idlebrainlive channel, Sujeeth was questioned about this, and the director replied, ""I had released the teaser before the script of Good Bad Ugly was written. I have known Adhik for long time and had watched his films. He genuinely loves me and had sent long messages to me after Saaho. I have also seen his Trisha Ilana Nayanthara film and we speak about our films. When OG teaser had come, he had not shot GBU. They had released OG Sambhavam. They did not have any intention to spoil our film, but people only know what comes first. Some people will not agree or understand this."

He continued, "I am happy for Adhik, and I genuinely appreciated him for Mark Antony. But someone when said that this song is coming, I did not mind because we are all trying to make good films. There is also Arjun Das in both the films, but they had cast after we finished shooting with him."

OG begins with 100-crore opening 

OG had paid premieres on Wednesday followed by release on Thursday. As per the makers, it has collected Rs 167 crore, making it a fantastic opening for Pawan Kalyan. Co-starring Priyanka Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Das and others, OG has music by S Thaman.
