OG, the third film of director Sujeeth, who helmed Saaho and Run Raja Run previously, is progressing at a brisk pace. Pawan Kalyan plays the lead role in the gangster saga bankrolled by RRR producer DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment. Priyanka Mohan is cast as the female lead in the film that marks Emraan Hashmi’s Telugu debut as an antagonist. Sriya Reddy, Arjun Das too essay key roles.
The film’s shoot began in the first quarter of the year and has been progressing at a brisk pace. The fourth schedule of OG took off today in Hyderabad with the lead stars and the crew in attendance. Confirming the news, the makers shared, “Lights, camera, and a whole lot of drama! The main cast is present for the fourth schedule of #OG in Hyderabad. Get ready for some exciting months ahead —it’s going to be mad! #FireStormIsComing #TheyCallHimOG.”
The production house even shared an image from the set where the director Sujeeth and the cinematographer Ravi K Chandran are discussing a scene. The team is leaving no stone unturned to ensure a Christmas release this year, though an official confirmation is awaited. S Thaman is scoring the music while AS Prakash is the art director.
Pawan Kalyan is also awaiting the release of Samuthirankani’s Bro (Vinodhaya Sitham remake) on July 28 and has allocated bulk dates for the Telugu remake of Theri, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, directed by Harish Shankar. A good chunk of his historical drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu, helmed by Krish, is yet to be shot. The star is now in the middle of a political campaign in Andhra Pradesh, where he has been on the receiving end from the ruling party.
