As per the update, OG will hit the screens on September 25, 2025. The same was revealed through a swanky new poster. So, it will be back-to-back Pawan Kalyan films in the next few months.
This has made fans quite happy, but the ongoing theater issues in the Telugu states have shocked many. A decision was made by a few producers and exhibitors to shut down the theaters in Telangana due to the lack of big films. This did not go well with Pawan Kalyan, who openly penned a letter to the industry stating that Tollywood has disappointed him big time.
In his statement, Pawan angrily said that from here on, there will not be any one-to-one meetings with any producers from Tollywood. He also added that not a single person from the industry had met the new CM, Chandrababu, after he formed the government, and no one dared to take the initiative to meet the government, which was ready to help the industry.
At such a time, the release date of OG was locked. Ever since Pawan Kalyan's statements came out, fingers have been pointed at a few top producers in the industry, and to clear them, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo producer Allu Aravind met the press and stated that he is not among those who are against Pawan Kalyan and that the industry needs to come together and meet Pawan Kalyan to sort out things.
On the other hand, OG has Tigers fame Emraan Hashmi as the main villain. Sujeeth of Saaho fame has directed the film, which has music by Thaman. More details about the film's shoot will be out soon.
