The teaser of dancer and Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 winner Dilsha Prasannan debut movie Oh! Cinderella was released through her social media page on Monday.
The film, which also has Anoop Menon as part of the cast, is helmed by Renolze Rehman and has Mahadevan Thampi as its cinematographer. The teaser also revealed part of the cast of the film that has actors such as Aju Varghese, Srikanth Murali and Dinesh Prabhakar essaying significant roles.
The short video shows a furious Anoop Menon being held back by a group of men as he ascends the stair, before coming to halt in front of a dancing Dilsha.
Another shot from the teaser hints that she would be playing a dancer’s role in her debut film. The title poster of the film was released in March that featured the actress, sitting in a garden and had resembled a scene from a fairy tale.
Announcing her acting debut, Dilsha had captioned the photo: “Here is my debut film Oh Cinderella, I thank God for everything. Thank you Mahadevan Thampi etta for welcoming me into this industry. Thank you Anoop Etta for this beautiful opening, Thank you for believing and guiding me. You are a wonderful human being. Thank you all. We need all your support.”
She was also lauded by her fellow Big Boss season 4 contestants Riyas Salim and Jasmine Moosa responded to the announcements.
Dilsha, who was initially a participant of the dance reality show D for Dance in Mazhavil Manorama, rose to fame after winning the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 4 title. She is, in fact, the first and only woman to win the title in Malayalam. Since then, Dilsha has maintained an active presence in social media through her dance reels and interviews.
Meanwhile, Anoop Menon’s last movie was Jeethu Joseph’s crime thriller Kooman, in which he played the role of a psychiatrist. The actor has various films lined up for release including Pheonix. Anoop will be also seen in Rakesh Gopan’s political satire Thimingala Vetta in which he plays a right-wing political worker. The film also has Baiju Santhosh, Kalabhavan Shajon and Ramesh Pisharody in significant roles.
