Oh My Dog: Arun Vijay says it’s a ‘blessing’ to share the screen with his father and son in film

Oh My Dog, which promises a heartwarming tale between a young boy and his furry friend, will have its direct-to-OTT release soon. The film will see Arun Vijay share the screen with his father Vijaykumar and his son Arnav Vijay, the latter making his acting debut in the film. Arun recently opened up about the experience of working with his family in the film.

In conversation with IANS, Arun said that it was a ‘blessing’ to get a chance to work with both his father and son in a film, adding that this is the first time that something like this has happened in a Tamil film. Although the actor had worked with his father before, the upcoming project is something different. It was also a very special experience for his son Arnav, who got to make his acting debut with his father and grandfather.

Calling working on the film an ‘unforgettable’ and ‘wonderful’ experience, Arun also said that the film gave the trio an opportunity for some much-needed quality time together. The actor talked about how he was able to witness the incredible bond between his son and father on the film’s sets as well. “Arnav would never hesitate to ask questions to his grandfather, I never questioned my dad. Granddads are very lenient with their grandchildren! Arnav had the liberty with my dad, which I didn't have," said Arun.

The upcoming film, which also features Mahima Nambiar and Vinay Ram in pivotal roles, is bankrolled by Suriya and Jyotika’s production banner, 2D Entertainment. The film marks the directorial debut of Sarov Shanmugam.

Oh My Dog will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from April 21, 2022. The film can be streamed in Tamil and Telugu.
