Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, the upcoming Telugu film featuring Tharun Bhascker, Eesha Rebba, and others, is all set to hit theatres very soon. The film will release worldwide on August 1, the makers of the film announced, which releasing the concept video.
Actor and filmmaker Tharun Bhascker will be pairing up with actor Eesha Rebba for a Telugu film titled Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi. The film is touted to be a rib-tickling rural entertainer, and is helmed by debutant filmmaker AR Sajeev.
On Saturday, the makers announced that the film will have a theatrical release on August 1. Produced by Srujan Yarabolu, Aditya Pittie, Vivek Krishnani, Anup Chandrasekaran, Sadhik Shaik, Naveen Sanivarapu, with Kishore Jaladi and Bala Sowmitri serving as co-producers, the shoot already wrapped up.
The makers unveiled the title poster along with a concept video presented in a 2D animation style. Set in a rustic backdrop, the poster captures only the hands of the lead pair locked in conflict, hinting at marital discord without revealing their faces.
The concept video introduces Eesha as Kondaveeti Prashanti, a typical village belle, and Tharun as Ambati Omkar Naidu, a van owner. The story takes a turn after their marriage, with their post-wedding clashes symbolically represented through cockfights.
Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi is expected to be a remake of Malayalam film Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey which featured Basil Joseph and Darshana Rajendran. The film is about how the wife learns to tackle her husband’s physical abuse.
The film’s music is composed by Jay Krish with Deepak Yeragara handling the cinematography. The film promises a blend of humor, culture, and relatable relationship drama, with an offbeat presentation. Apart from Tharun Bhascker and Esha Rebba, the cast also includes Bramhanandham, Brahmaji, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Goparaju Vijay, Sivannarayana, Bindu Chandramouli, Dheeraj Aathreya, Anshvi, and others. Written and directed by AR Sajeev, the dialogues are penned by Nanda Kishore Emani.
