Om, a film starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjana Sanghi, is one many are looking forward to watching. Rashtra Kavach Om is the new title for the film that was formerly known as Om: The Battle Within. While the team made no formal statement, during a recent interaction with India Today, Aditya disclosed the true reason for the title change.
Om, starring Aditya for the first time in hardcore action, is one of the most anticipated films of the year. Rashtra Kavach Om, directed by Kapil Verma, is set to hit theatres on July 1, but the title has been changed just two weeks before the premiere.
Talking about the same, Aditya told the portal that now the title is Rashtra Kavach: OM, the producers believed that these are the two primary conflicts of the film. The actor is not sure whether there were any technical issues with the title Om: The Battle Within, but he believes these two tensions are what drive the film creatively.
Aditya continued, saying that Kavach is something you'll find out when you watch the movie. And, of course, the movie is about patriotism and the country as a whole. So the makers reasoned that this would make them feel more human and earthy.
Om tells the story of a Special Forces soldier on a mission to save his country and answer riddles that have plagued him his entire life. Rashtra Kavach Om is directed by Kapil Verma and stars Aditya and Sanjana Sanghi in the key parts. The film also features Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana, Vikram Kochhar, Vicky Arora, and others in pivotal roles.
Rashtra Kavach Om is a collaboration between Zee Studios and A Paper Doll Entertainment. On July 1, 2022, the film will be released in theatres.
Meanwhile, Aditya was last seen in Anurag Basu's Ludo, while Sanjana made her debut with Sushant Singh Rajput's last film, Dil Bechara. Both were OTT releases.
