Film producer-distributor Anand Pandit has joined hands with production house Eros International and Parag Sanghvi to remake Ajay Devgn's Omkara and for a sequel of Desi Boyz. And they are all excited to revive the magic of these two films.

Talking about the collaboration, Sunil Lulla, Chairman, Eros Motion Pictures, said, "We are excited to collaborate with Anand bhai to revive the magic of these films that have remained indelible in our memories."

If the audience is wondering what to expect from these films' upcoming versions, Lulla elaborated, "We often wonder what happens to our favourite cinematic characters and if their journey takes them in surprising directions. These films will answer many such questions."

He also added that he, along with his team, will work together to ensure that the essence of these classics remain untouched even as they infuse new energy and fresh vibrance in them.

Parag Sanghvi, CEO of Alumbra Entertainment & Lotus Film Company, said, "I am thrilled to be a part of these amazing projects. It will be exciting to take the legacy of these classic hits forward."

Sharing his thoughts on why the collaboration is one step forward for him, Parag explained that the partnership with Eros International is strategic, as the production house is best placed in India to maximize distribution.

Desi Boyz is a 2011 romantic comedy directed by Rohit Dhawan, the brother of Bollywood superstar Varun Dhawan. The film has Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Chitrangada Singh and Anupam Kher in lead roles. Sanjay Dutt featured in an extended cameo.

Omkara, a multiple-award winning film that released in 2006, is a crime drama that is adapted from William Shakespeare's Othello. It is co-written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. The multi-starrer film featurs Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi and Bipasha Basu. The film won 41 awards, including three National Film Awards.
