When Ayan Mukerji’s magnum opus, Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva made its way onto the big screen, fans certainly had a lot to look forward to in the film. The breathtaking visuals and stellar cast aside, the film also featured a stunning cameo appearance by none other than Shah Rukh Khan. As the Badshaah of Bollywood celebrates his birthday today, Ayan seems to have given King Khan’s fans a special present.
Taking to his official social media handles, Ayan announced that the first ten minutes of Brahmastra are already available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar for free, ahead of its official digital release on the streaming giant’s platform. In addition to SRK’s gripping cameo as the Vānarāstra, the first ten minutes also include a backstory about the astras, Ayan revealed.

In addition to SRK, the film starred Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles. The film is intended to be the first instalment in Ayan’s cinematic universe, Astraverse.
Part of the review for the film on OTTplay reads “Ayan Mukerji's labour of love has a light at the end of the day and sets a perfect foundation for the trilogy it was intended to be”.
Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from November 4 onwards.
Meanwhile, SRK is gearing up for the release of Pathaan, which marks his first leading big screen role in almost four years, his last being in 2018’s Zero. Pathaan will see SRK share the screen with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. On the occasion of his birthday, the film’s teaser was unveiled by the makers, which already crossed over a million views within the first hour of its release. Pathaan, directed by Siddharth Anand, will hit the big screens on January 25, 2023.
