Veteran actor Dharmendra has acted in more than 200 films across a number of languages in India

Bollywood’s He-Man aka Dharmendra is making a comeback on silver screens with Karan Johar’s highly-anticipated upcoming directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The upcoming film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in leading roles, while it also features Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
Expressing his happiness on playing a romantic character opposite Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra told ETimes in a recent interview, "You see l love the camera and the camera loves me. Hum log ek doosre ko door se dekhte rahte hai jab mauka mil jaata hai gale lag jaate hai (we keep looking at each other and embrace each other when we get a chance).”
The veteran actor also informed the portal that he’ll start shooting for Karan Johar’s latest directorial venture in August this year.
Talking about playing a romantic character after so many years, the actor told the publication, “I am playing a romantic at this age. You know, once a romantic, always a romantic.”
Meanwhile, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan too will be back on screen with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, half a decade after playing a cameo with Amitabh Bachchan in the 2016 film Ki & Ka that has Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor in leading roles.
Dharmendra has acted in more than 200 films across many languages in India. The iconic actor was last seen in the 2020 Punjabi film Jora: The Second Chapter starring Deep Sidhu and Mahie Gill among others.
