The official trailer for Season 2 of Only Murders in the Building has been released by Hulu. Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) are persons of interest in the murder of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell). Season 2 debuts on June 28 with two episodes; new episodes are released every Tuesday (in India on Disney+ Hotstar).

In the second season of the show, the trio is racing against time to uncover Bunny's true killer and clear their names. However, three unfortunate obstacles arise: Charles, Oliver, and Mabel are publicly implicated in Bunny's murder; they are now the subject of a competing podcast; and they must cope with a slew of New York neighbours who believe they are all guilty of murder.

Martin and John Hoffman are the co-creators and writers of Murders in the Building. Short, Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, and Jess Rosenthal serve as executive producers alongside Martin and Hoffman.

Earlier, during an interaction with Deadline, Selena spoke about getting pitched for the series. The actor-singer stated that the producers approached her with the idea, which sparked a lengthy discussion about my interest in true crime. When she got the call, she had just returned from CrimeCon, and it felt like something she really wanted to pursue. Selena added that they were all very beautiful and it had been a dream to work with Steve and Marty.

Meanwhile, Steve recalled that what's fascinating is the evolution of Selena's character. It takes time for a character to mature into something. Selena's character evolved into a distinct flavour for the series.

Selena revealed that Meryl Streep approached her and applauded the performance; it was quite sweet. Otherwise, older guys with suede elbow patches come up to her and say that she did great on that show.
