On this day last year, the second season of Only Murders in the Building premiered on Disney+ Hotstar. Naturally, fans are awaiting the third season impatiently now. Selena Gomez finally announced the streaming date of the third season, and the wait is almost over. Yes, the series premieres on August 8, 2023.

Selena shared a goofy photo posing with her co-stars and legendary actors Steve Martin and Martin Short from the sets. She wrote, "Some of my favourite people... Only Murders In the Building season 3 is coming August 8th! @hulu @onlymurdershulu."

The American murder mystery comedy-drama Only Murders in the Building was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. The first season debuted in August 2021 and consisted of ten episodes.

The story follows Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez as they play three strangers who share an interest in true crime podcasts and decide to work together to solve a murder in their apartment complex. The series' comic take on crime fiction, as well as the acting and chemistry of its main cast members, have garnered widespread critical acclaim.

After a mysterious death occurs in their posh Upper West Side building during the first season, the three neighbours decide to launch a podcast about their investigation. The trio found themselves under suspicion for a gruesome murder that occurred in their building in the second season, which began in June 2022.

The series has been widely praised, with Martin and Short each receiving nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.

Paul Rudd, who appeared in the season two finale as Ben Glenroy, returns for season three. His character is a theatre actor who tragically dies onstage. Additionally, Meryl Streep plays a crucial role in the upcoming season, as Selena revealed earlier this year.
