From the madcap world of Aadu to the strife zone! Malayalam actor Jayasurya is busy with promotions of his upcoming movie Aadu 3: One Last Ride Part 1, but that does not stop him from announcing his new movie with composer Ratheesh Vega. The film’s title is Operation Tral, the makers announced with a title teaser and revealed that the film is set for a December 2026 release.
Which is Jayasurya’s new movie
Jayasurya has joined hands with popular composer Ratheesh Vega, who is making his directorial debut with the movie Operation Tral. The makers dropped the title teaser on March 16 evening. Ratheesh wrote on social media, “The Mission is Locked. The Operation is Fearless! @operationtral Releasing Christmas 2026. Prepare for the Strike!”
The short glimpse begins with a shot of a walkie talkie, as we hear a desperate and urgent call for help. “Patrol party under attack. Requesting immediate backup. At location Tral,” says the message. A personnel responds that the message has been received and the backup will reach within 23:40 hours. And the video shows an officer gearing up for the attack. After the title card is introduced, the video confirms that the film is a December 2026 release.
The glimpse promises that a high-octane thriller is on the cards while fans are excited to see Jayasurya as an Army man.
Ratheesh Vega, who has scored the music for Jayasurya's Cocktail and Beautiful, has also written the script of Operation Tral, along with composing the music and original score. The Operation Tral’s technical crew were also introduced with Najose as cinematographer, while Shafeeque VB is the editor.
Jayasurya is headlining the film, but the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed.
Which are Jayasurya’s upcoming movies
Jayasurya’s immediate release is Aadu 3: One Last Ride Part 1 is hitting screens on March 19, 2026, along with the big-budgeted Hindi film Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Helmed by Midhun Manuel Thoams, Aadu 3 marks the third installment in the comedy franchise.
The actor also has Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer, a long-pending project, which also features popular south actress Anushka Shetty in her Malayalam debut.
